International audienceIt is well-known that spatial versus temporal uses of the French preposition "dans" ("in") depend on the properties of the noun that follows. In some prepositional phrases (PP) however, where "dans" is followed by a noun denoting a part of the day (i.e. a time noun, or TN), the interpretation is not necessarily temporal. The present paper focuses on the analysis of the sequences "dans + le/la + jour/nuit" ("in + the + day/night"), which can be given a temporal interpretation (especially with "nuit" - cf.
